A few days ago i discovered Press TV at the moment i have learnt that this channel has had a few rows with ofcom over some of the things that the channel has publicised!! One of these rows is because of a 10second sound bite they played since then same person who was speaking in the sound bite has repeated what he said on many other western news channels. Also they have been criticised over questioning how much the Royal wedding cost they have also received a letter from the Royal Family asking Press TV not to slate them on tv. I should now explain a little bit about Press TV so far i have learnt that it is a news channel owned by an Iranian news channel called IRIB, the head office for this channel is in Tehran but they also have offices in London. This channel has opened my eyes to the views of people who are against the British Government's zionist ways! In many respects this channel comes across as a Pro Iran and Anti Israel which is to be expected as the head office of this channel is in Tehran! This channel has shown an article in The Guardian news paper titled Who will rid us of hate channels such as Press TV? (This article is by Nick Cohen which sets alarm bells ringing for me straight away because of the articles he wrote surrounding the Iraq war.) So i set about reading the article and reading the comments, it jumped to my attention that the right to free speech in "Great Britain" are increasingly flowing down the drain. Hmm so down to what i think about Press TV maybe its not the sort of news that everyone wants to listen too but for "Great Britain" to says its people have freedom of speech then why shouldnt this channel stay for freedom of speech to exist then the people of "Great Britain" need to take of their blinkers and look at the storey from both sides coin or at least have the chance to be able to see the storey from both sides! I do not see this channel as a hate channel i see it as an alternative news source as British news channels are slowly but surely leaning to the right and filling the minds of British people with Pro Israel matters and feulling hatred towards the middle east! I enjoy watching many news channels including the BBC, Fox News, CNN and now Press TV because it gives me the chance to see issues from all angles therefore enpowering my open mindedness! I am neither Pro Iran or Pro Israel i just think our government has its own issues to deal with i also think Israel could do with sorting out the problems on its own doorstep with Palestine before it tries to cause a war with another country and in the process dragging "Great Britain" into that war and as for the U.S.A. well don't even get me started.
